The play will be available to watch from 11:30am - 12:30pm ET on February 28th, please watch the 1-hour play and then attend the talk-back at 12:30pm ET. This event is a one woman play written and performed by a psychiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in addiction. The play explores the lives of five people impacted by substance use disorder and their experiences in treatment, in the community, and the healthcare setting.

The Social Work Chat Live for February will be a viewing of a play titled "Spiro Spero." Participants will watch the streamed play from 11:30am - 12:30pm ET on youtube and then attend the talk-back following the stream. This event is a one woman play written and performed by a pyschiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in addiction. The play explores the lives of five people impacted by substance use disorder and their experiences in treatment, in the community, and in the healthcare setting. A talk back will occur immediately following the stream with the writer/performer, Judith Austin, and members of the addiction community.
The run-time of the play is approximately 1-hour and the talk back session will be 30 minutes. Registering for the event and attending the entire showing of the play/talk back session of the training will be required in order to receive continuing education credits.
A link to the live-stream of the play will be shared a few days prior to the event via email and the zoom information for the talk back will be shared the day of the event. Please make sure to register order to receive the video streaming information for the event.

1. Participants will be able to examine the role of stigma in the treatment of people with substance use disorders.
2. Participants will be able to deconstruct societal factors affecting the development and treatment of substance use disorders.
3. Participants will be able to reflect on healthcare systems and their impact on people with substance use disorders.
