As part of the twice-monthly MA OBAT ECHO series, Wendy Macias-Konstantopoulos, MD, MPH, MBA, will present the didactic, "Recognizing and Caring for Victims of Human Trafficking ." The didactic will be followed by a related de-identified patient case presentation from an ECHO participant along with recommendations from the panel of experts and attendees.

This 8-hour course prepares nurses and other medical staff to manage office-based addiction treatment with buprenorphine and naltrexone.
Intended audienceNurses and other clinical staff providing treatment for substance use disorders in an office-based setting.
11:30 am – 1:00 pm ET
This 1.5 hour session, titled "Addressing and Managing Loss and Grief in the OTP Setting" will be a presentation on identifying significant events that may result in staff grief such as overdose or suicide, the impact of drug overdoses, and developing strategies to support colleagues and themselves in the setting of patient loss.
Intended audienceOTP and OBAT staff providing treatment for substance use disorders in Massachusetts
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm ET
This one-hour training will provide an introduction to stimulant use disorder.
Intended audienceProviders, nurses, counselors, and other non-clinical staff are welcome to attend.
12:00 pm – 1:30 pm ET
This training will review strategies to reduce harm from inhaled and intranasal use of illicit substances. Strategies to reduce communicable infections and to prevent damage to lung and skin and soft tissue infections will be discussed. Additionally, the risks associated with open flame and adulterated substances will be explored.
Intended audienceThe entire multidisciplinary team providing treatment for substance use disorders in an office-based setting as well as anyone in a clinical or non-clinical position that is interested in learning about harm reduction.
