This training will provide an introduction to using BNI for alcohol consumption and review the steps involved in this approach.

This training will highlight the importance of family and social support for people with SUD. The importance of evidence-based resources for families will be explained. And concrete and simple changes to current models of addiction treatment to engage the family will be introduced.

11:30 am – 1:00 pm ET
This 1.5 hour session, titled "Lowering the Barriers to Increase Access to Opioid Treatment Programs" will cover current barriers to buprenorphine initiation that may make methadone initiation more appealing to patients and the importance of low-barrier initiation of methadone in the setting of the ongoing fentanyl contamination crisis.

This training is part 8 of 8 for the training series that will provide APPs the additional 16 hours to meet the requirements to obtain a Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) X-Waiver Certificate that will allow them to prescribe to more than 30 patients.
