This no-cost course reviews topics covered in the certification exam for addictions nursing and is intended to support nurses preparing to sit for the exam.
Intended audienceRegistered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners, with experience treating patients with addiction, who intend to sit for the CARN or CARN-AP exam.
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm ET
This one-hour training prepares nurses and other medical professionals to use monthly injectable buprenorphine (Sublocade) in addiction treatment.
Intended audienceAttendance is required for all OBAT nurses and MAs who work in a DPH/BSAS funded STATE OBOT program. All others working with patients on injectable buprenorphine are welcome and encouraged to attend.

A drop-in session for recovery coaches to discuss coaching in the COVID-19 environment and other topics related to substance use disorder and recovery
Intended audienceRecovery coaches, navigators, and peer support specialists who provide direct support to clients/patients in the field of addiction.
3:30 pm – 5:00 pm ET
This 1.5 hour session will be a discussion on the benefits of micro-dosing a patient with buprenorphine
Intended audienceOTP and OBAT staff providing treatment for substance use disorders
4:00 pm – 8:00 pm ET

As part of the twice-monthly MA OBAT ECHO series, Amy Bositis, RN, CNM, will present a didactic entitled "Substance Use Disorder Treatment on Demand". The didactic will be followed by a related de-identified case presentation from an ECHO participant along with recommendations from the panel of experts and attendees.
Intended audienceNurse practitioners (NP), medical doctors (MD), nurses (LPN/RN), social workers (LCSW/LICSW), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADC), Certified Alcohol/Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC), Community Health Workers (CHW), recovery coaches, counselors, Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC)
2:00 pm – 3:30 pm ET
A drop-in session open to recovery coaches around the country. Includes a short presentation on a pertinent topic related to substance use disorder, recovery or coaching, followed by time for discussion and networking.
Intended audienceAll recovery coaches and peer advocates providing direct support to patients/clients in the field of addiction

This training focuses on Adolescent and Young Adults. The type of substances this population uses and special treatment/management that is required will be discussed during the training.
