The play will be available to watch from 1/28/2022 until 1/31/2022, please watch the 1-hour play prior to attending the talk-back on February 1st at 9am ET. This event is a one woman play written and performed by a psychiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in addiction. The play explores the lives of five people impacted by substance use disorder and their experiences in treatment, in the community, and the healthcare setting.

BMC OBAT TTA+ is hosting a viewing of a play titled "Spiro Spero" from January 28th until January 31st. This event is a one woman play written and performed by a pyschiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in addiction. The play explores the lives of five people impacted by substance use disorder and their experiences in treatment, in the community, and in the healthcare setting. A talk back will occur immediately following the stream with the writer/performer, Judith Austin, and members of the addiction community.
The run-time of the play is approximately 1-hour and the talk back session will be 30 minutes. Registering for the event and attending the entire showing of the play/talk back session of the training will be required in order to receive continuing education credits.
A link to the live-stream of the play will be shared a few days prior to the event via email and the zoom information for the talk back will be shared the day of the event. Please make sure to register for one of the six dates in order to receive the video streaming information for the event.

The play will be available on youtube to view from January 28th until January 31st. The talk-back/discussion period will occur on February 1st at 9am ET. Attending the talk-back is required in order to receive continuing education credits.

1. Participants will be able to examine the role of stigma in the treatment of people with substance use disorders.
2. Participants will be able to deconstruct societal factors affecting the development and treatment of substance use disorders.
3. Participants will be able to reflect on healthcare systems and their impact on people with substance use disorders.

Boston Medical Center grants 1.50 hours to all RNs who attend and complete the evaluation.
