Description

Boston Medical Center's (BMC) 12-part Massachusetts Office Based Addiction Treatment ECHO® (MA OBAT ECHO®) offers training and support in addiction treatment, with a focus on comprehensive care for patients with substance use disorders (SUDs). The free, case-based tele-education program is designed to increase the capacity of health care providers to implement high-quality addiction treatment within primary care settings in Massachusetts.

Comprehensive care to serve patients with SUD entails a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach, which may need to include physicians, psychiatrists, mental health counselors, nurses, patient navigators, clinic support staff, and others depending on each patient's unique needs. The MA OBAT ECHO® encourages participation from all members of the team caring for patients with SUDs and is an interdisciplinary learning community. All participants will be given access to education about addiction treatment and have the opportunity to learn from experts in the field of addiction as well as from one another.
