Description

This session will provide an overview of both available COVID-19 vaccines and considerations for healthcare workers. There will be a short presentation on the vaccine, followed by ample time for Dr. Barocas to answer your questions concerning the vaccine. Please note that while this session is open to those across the country, some information regarding vaccine distribution will be specific to Massachusetts.

This session will be held via Zoom. The Zoom meeting information will be emailed to you before the session.

Clinical and administrative staff working in addiction treatment or other healthcare programs in the U.S.

Speakers

Joshua Barocas, MD

Dr. Barocas is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine and an Infectious Diseases physician at Boston Medical Center with expertise in the infectious complications of drug use. Dr. Barocas has been heavily involved in Boston Medical Center's COVID-19 response, organized accomodations for homeless patients with COVID-19, and shared his experience on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic in academic publications and mainstream media outlets.
