Description

This is a special two-hour session of Recovery Coach Chat Live on Recovery Storytelling, led by Meghann Perry, CARC, RCP.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required for this session.

This creative, collaborative workshop will introduce you to the concept of Recovery Storytelling, where art and advocacy meet in short, moving stories that carry a powerful, positive recovery message. Through fun, engaging exercises you'll get to try out a new story of your own and connect with others in the process. Come explore your journey in a new way, connect with your coaching community, and have some fun!

Meghann Perry, CARC, RCP

Meghann Perry CARC, RCP,  is an innovator, educator, storyteller, expert facilitator and Recovery Coach Professional. Her workshops are infused with the art and science of recovery coaching and the belief that every participant is a resource, creating transformational experiences that bring resilience, healing, connection, and empowerment to youth and adults from all walks of life. She is the creator of the powerful Recovery Storytelling workshop series, a facilitator of the full range of Recovery Coach Academy curriculum at CCAR, and is involved in many other educational and creative projects.

Objectives

  1. Become familiar with personal narrative storytelling is and how it differs from other types of story sharing
  2. Understand the role of positive recovery messaging in the sharing of recovery stories
  3. Explore a new way of sharing your recovery journey
  4. Become familiar with the concepts of narrative arc and imagery in storytelling
