Treating Substance Use Disorder in Special Populations is a series offered by Boston Medical Center OBAT TTA that will dive into treating SUD in six different special population groups. The specific needs of these groups and proper use of Medication for Opioid Use Disorder for these populations will be discussed during these trainings.
This training focuses on Adolescent and Young Adults. The type of substances this population uses and special treatment/management that is required will be discussed during the training.

Nurses and the entire multidisciplinary team providing treatment for substance use disorders in an office-based setting.

1. Participants will recognize adolescents and young adults as a special population receiving SUD treatment
2. Participants will describe at least 3 major substances of use in adolescents and young adults
3. Participants will identify at least 3 barriers to treatment of SUD experienced by adolescents and young adults.
4. Participants will indicate at least 2 strategies to improve SUD treatment for adolescents and young adults.
