As part of the twice-monthly SUD Care Continuum ECHO series, Amy Sobieszczyk, LICSW, will present a didactic entitled "Employing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address Mental Illness in SUD treatment" The didactic will be followed by a related de-identified case presentation from an ECHO participant along with recommendations from the panel of experts and attendees.

This 3-hour training covers stigma, the disease model of addiction, provides an overview of evidence-based treatment of substance use disorders, an overview of the harm reduction philosophy, strategies for integrating harm reduction into the OBAT setting, and an overview of harm reduction interventions.
Intended audienceThe frontline staff and outreach workers of Restoration Recovery Center, Inc.

This training focuses on patients in the criminal-legal system. The type of substances this population uses and special treatment/management that is required will be discussed during the training.
